CTP, CPFA PQ Admission Prerequisites
​
To be admitted into a CTP, CPFA professional qualification course, applicants require:
• an undergraduate degree or master’s degrees or Canadian equivalent of education from a post-
secondary institution
​
• completion of all prerequisite course syllabus and requirements
​
• 120 credit-hours or equivalent of post-secondary education (30 credit hours per academic year)
​
• 65% overall GPA on course prerequisites
​
• at least one applicable course in each of the CTP, CPFA competency areas of Financial Reporting,
Governance and Risk Management, Management Accounting, Audit and Assurance, Public
Finance, Taxation and Law must have been completed within the last 10 years of application for
admission to the CTP, CPFA PQ program
